Spring: Inspection and Cleaning
After winter, inspect your gazebo for any damage. Check bolts and connections, clean the canopy with mild soap and water, and look for signs of rust on metal frames or rot on wooden structures.
Summer: UV and Heat Protection
Prolonged sun exposure can fade canopy fabrics. Apply a UV-protectant spray annually to polyester canopies. For wooden gazebos, check that the sealant is holding up โ reapply if water no longer beads on the surface.
Fall: Preparation for Winter
Clean and dry your canopy thoroughly before storing pop-up gazebos. For permanent structures, remove accumulated leaves from the roof and check that drainage areas are clear.
Winter: Snow and Wind
Remove snow accumulation from gazebo roofs to prevent structural damage. If you live in an area with heavy snowfall, consider a hardtop or polycarbonate roof model designed to handle the weight.
